Editorial Policy for Jess Loves Baking

At Jess Loves Baking, my goal is to create a warm, reliable, and trustworthy space for anyone who loves baking. This Editorial Policy explains exactly how content is created, tested, photographed, and shared on this site. It reflects my commitment to quality, accuracy, and transparency for every recipe published.


1. Audience Commitment

Jess Loves Baking is designed for bakers of all skill levels who want simple and stress-free recipes. Every post is written with clarity, approachability, and successful results in mind. My goal is to help readers feel confident, supported, and excited to bake something new.


2. Originality and Creativity

Every recipe shared on this website is original, developed in my own kitchen, and written in my own words. I may draw inspiration from classic techniques, my cultural background, family traditions, or modern trends, but each recipe is created through my personal testing and interpretation.

I only publish recipes I've tested myself multiple times and feel proud to share.


3. Recipe Development and Testing

I take recipe accuracy seriously. Before a recipe appears on the site, it goes through:

  • Thorough research to understand the technique, ingredients, and science
  • Multiple rounds of testing to ensure consistency
  • Self-testing only, so every result reflects a real home-kitchen environment
  • Clear instructions designed to help readers avoid common baking pitfalls

Recipes are not published until they are reliable, replicable, and delicious.


4. Cultural and Family-Inspired Recipes

Occasionally I share recipes rooted in my Italian, Irish, German, and English family background or dishes passed down through personal tradition. These recipes are approached with care and respect, focusing on flavors and methods I grew up with or know well. I do not publish cultural recipes outside my lived experience unless I've researched them thoroughly and feel confident presenting them accurately.


5. Transparency and Disclosures

I currently do not work with affiliates, and this site does not use affiliate links at this time.

While I haven't partnered with brands yet, I am open to future collaborations. Any sponsored content in the future will always be:

  • Clearly disclosed at the top of the post
  • Created with products I truly use and recommend
  • Aligned with the values of Jess Loves Baking

Honesty and reader trust always come first.

All photography on Jess Loves Baking is created exclusively by me, including styling, lighting, and editing.
