Ingredients

  • 3 cups White Flour sifted
  • 3 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 5 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese grated
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 12oz can of beer I used an IPA from Two Roads Brewing Company called Cloud Sourced Hazy Juicy IPA, but any beer will work
  • ¼ cup butter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Generously grease a large bread pan.
  • Sift the flour into a large bowl (dont forget this step, otherwise your bread will be very dense and hard!), combine the sifted flour with baking powder, salt and sugar. Add in minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning and cheeses. Lightly mix together with a spoon.
  • Slowly pour in the beer and let it sit for a couple of minutes (2-3). After the dough has absorbed the liquid for a few minutes, mix the batter with a spoon until all the beer has been incorporated into the dough, all ingredients are combined, and the dough is a thick consistency.
  • Pour the dough into the greased bread pan. Melt the butter, and pour the melted butter onto the top of the bread dough.
  • Cook for 50-60 minutes in the oven, until the top of the bread is golden and the loaf is firm to the touch.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 15 minutes. Serve warm, and make it taste even better with a little butter on it!
