Ingredients You’ll Need

Each ingredient in this recipe brings something special. Here’s why each one is necessary:

  • Butter: Adds richness and keeps the brownies moist.
  • Chocolate chips: Provides intense chocolate flavor and helps achieve a fudgy texture. Use semi-sweet or dark chocolate.
  • Granulated sugar: Sweetens the brownies and balances the tartness of the raspberries.
  • Eggs: Adds structure and gives the brownies a soft, chewy texture.
  • All-purpose flour: Keeps the brownies dense and chewy without making them too cakey.
  • Cocoa powder: Boosts the chocolate flavor and deepens the color.
  • Salt: Enhances all the flavors.
  • Fresh raspberries: The star of the recipe, bringing in a juicy, tangy contrast to the rich chocolate.

FAQ for Raspberry Brownies

1. Can I use frozen raspberries instead of fresh?
Yes! Frozen raspberries work well. Just be sure to add them straight from the freezer to prevent excess moisture.

2. Can I swap the raspberries for another fruit?
Absolutely! Blueberries, strawberries, or even cherries would be great swaps. Just keep in mind that different fruits may alter the sweetness slightly.

3. How should I store these brownies?
Store the brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.

4. Can I make these brownies gluten-free?
Yes, simply swap the all-purpose flour for a 1:1 gluten-free baking flour blend.

5. Why are my brownies cakey instead of fudgy?
Overmixing or adding too much flour can make brownies more cakey. For fudgy brownies, measure the flour carefully and mix just until combined.
